A stifflegged coydog creeps by quietly, prey-shadowing even in sleep,
in one hand an edible root, the other clenched tight on some
furry kitty nape
The coydog can jog far for every star or prickly rabbit ear
you can imagine. The wind & rains can slow him but not by much
(not on lakeshore feet!)
Coydogs, like every stinking hybrid want nothing more than to be the
sleek lord of nests and yards, and if they're not, can be playful or
perverse, slouching low
low as can be, the better to rip fur balls loose & nose deep into their
own sun slaughter
